Memorial Day, Moab, Utah

For Memorial weekend, we did our second annual Moab, Utah camping trip! Nick and I love to camp as we both grew up camping, so we want to do a several day camping trip each year. For the past two years we have chosen Moab, Utah since it's so beautiful, close, and the weather is always nice. This year our friends Joey and Johanna Gibson came with us. They have never been so it was fun showing them some sights and hikes.
Johanna and I on a hike.
Johanna, Joey, and Nick hiking.
The delicate arch on all the license plates. It was so windy up top here. A little intimidating at times, but always a cool site to see. Worth the hike.
Joey and Nick admiring the arch.
Johanna and I waiting for the bus to pick us up for river rafting. I would say white water river rafting, but there was only one big 'white water' moment. It was still really fun and relaxing.

Waiting for the rapids. It was our tour guide's first year. He was nice, but didn't know much...Good thing it wasn't crazy rapids.
The boys rented mountain bikes to do Slick Rock, which was a 13 mile bike ride. Pretty intense, especially since they had to share 1 bottle of water because Joey's fell out; while the girls went to Dead Horse Point.
This little lizard ran right between Johanna and I, did a back flip over the rock (belly exposed) and stared us down. That was worth a picture.
Dead Horse Point. Always worth a couple pictures as it is the most beautiful place in Utah. (my opinion)

Overall it was a really fun trip. Great food, great company, great weather, great time! I think next year I want to do the Grand Canyon or Havasu (spelling?) Falls.
