April Graduation 2011

Here is a little video I put together of Nick and I's convocation for graduation. We officially did it and I officially walked at 39 weeks pregnant! It was such a fun day and the weather was perfect. It's been raining here for quite some time so to have a sunny day was really icing on this great day!

P.S. Sidenote...

I am not in labour yet, but the signs are there that she is coming. My brother brought over the craddle, Nick set up the swing, and I have all her clothes and diapers organized. We are ready for a baby.

Also, Thursday and Friday is when Nick and I walk for graduation. I know, I know- I'm on bed rest, but nothing is going to stop me from walking across that stage!!! Nick will be right behind me so I'll have physical support. haha

And, my sister recommend me a book and I'm reading it. It's called The Help. Kind of interesting so far...I'll let you know how is goes.

Moving Out

Our storage unit we rented for the summer and Nick with his awesome packing skills.
We are officially moved out of our old place, and into my parents basement. I know, 28 and living in my parents basement. Sounds like a bad movie. But they were nice enough to allow us to live here so we can save money this summer before our move to Rhode Island. My favourite things about living at home: garbage disposal, dishwasher, and soft water. Yeah, everyday I love those things!! Nick loves that there is actually dinner on the table every night. I promised him I'll get better at that.

Good-bye Conrad

My cubicle all cleaned out
I was planning on working until the 15th of this month, but my doctor told me I had to go on bedrest so I had to leave my job early. Such a surreal day, not just for leaving my job, but leaving my job and not having another to fill it... I've had a real job (high school ones don't count) for 10 years! But they were all so supportive and we had a fun last day eating out for lunch and packing up my things.

Happy Birthday Kim!!

I am officially 28! Happy birthday to me. Since I was on bedrest for my birthday, Nick snuck me out to do a little Colour Me Mine (mellow activity) and then we took home some chinese food! My mom brought over my infamous dirt cake, which I found out why I like it so much. I am not a huge cake fan. I would rather have pudding. So that is probably why I always choose it... But it was a great birthday! Nick was so sweet with bringing me flowers and checking in on me all day. My mom came over and hung out because when you are tied down, company is the best gift ever! I'll definately remember this birthday.

Doctor Visits

This is a non stress test I am doing. (2 a week) The pink belt is for the baby's heart beat, and the blue is for my contractions. (or lack there of)
As many of you know, I have been headed to the doctor's office quite often due to pre-eclampsia. I have done many tests and it's getting very tiring. BUT everything is going great and the doctor said she doesn't think she will have to induce me because bedrest is doing the baby and I good. My blood pressure is looking okay, and I haven't had any symtoms recently. So here I am, week 38 and I should make it to 40!

Raining Babies

Sister Whitney, sister Elise, Mom, niece Camille, sister-in-law Megan. All working away to help!
Recently my family threw our baby girl a little shower. There was delicious food, great company, and so much love and support that I felt very blessed. We had a great day and now all I need is a baby to put into all the cute little ensembles she received! Only 3 more weeks to go! Hospital bag packed and car seat ready. The doctor said she might take her early due to my pre-eclampsia, but it really depends on how well I am doing by resting...OCD Kim is taking a step down for a healthy baby.
