Dear Life:

Dear time, Why are you always there when I don't need you? And never there when I do? Bad friend you are.
Dear people with time, Where do you get it?
Dear money, Why are you so expensive? You and time are in some evil plan- I know it!
Dear BYU, Why don't you offer the classes I need in PROVO!!
Dear education, Something so expensive, worth it, but probably won't use again. Rocks, come on now.
Dear traffic, Why do you always put a slow person in front?
Dear age, How come as you get higher, everything on me gets lower?
Dear sugar, I hate your guts! But I need you in mine everyday-  Aargh
Dear water, You're deeellllicious
Dear hipster girls, Why do you still wear Peter Pan boots, and belts around your ribs? Sooo 4 years ago..
Dear Nick, I love you.
Dear car, I am sorry I made fun of you at first.  But with your tint job, I love you too.
Dear sleep, Why do I spend so much time with you? Nick might get jealous
Dear skateboarding, I promise to spend more time with you this summer.
Dear high heels, Why do I feel skinnier when I wear you?
Dear celebrities, You're boring. I'm over you.
Dear Peeps, You're asthetically beautiful  to look at, but I always regret eating you.

Please feel free to add more in the comments... It's kind of fun once you get going.

Scoot, Scoot da doop, Scoot da doop, da doop, da doop

It's official...Nick's 245,000 miles Camry is on it's last leg.  Better sell it before it costs us an arm and a leg to fix any problems.  So that is the plan.  Everyday we have had it posted people call us on it. Tomorrow I am meeting with a lady about it.

SO here's the deal with the Scoot.  We thought the following:
1.) $4.10 to fill it up full.  No complaints
2.) $55 a year for insurance.  No complaints
3.) Free helmet with purchase! No complaints
4.) better parking at BYU.  No complaints
5.) Fun, fun, fun.  No complaints.
6.) 90 MPG!!!.  No complaints.

So we started looking at getting a scooter for Nick (which he will be driving clear into October due to the following story) and while test driving this beauty, Nick wrecked it.  Yes, he fell, skidded down state street and cut his toe and road rashed the side of his hip.  THANKFULLY he was wearing a helmet! So as the sales man and I watched this happen we started run/walking over to him.  Nick pulled the bike to the side of the road and the sales man looked at me (unhappy; probably cause Nick talked him into a test drive on the 'real road') and I said, I know, we will buy it.
Here we are.  Scooting around.  No problems since and we have had many practice runs in the BYU parking lot before heading to the 'real road' again.  No problems since!  And we ordered helmets so they will be here soon.  Don't worry!

May 9th Garage Sale!

It's organized and going to happen- the garage sale!  My sister, mom and I are having a garage sale in a week or so.  I have started gathering things for it.  Since I'm a newlywed, I don't have much to offer, but I have a couple things that I just don't have space for anymore... and a cool silk hammock!  BUT let's be honest, I'm more excited to see what Elise has to offer!!  (She is definatly not a pack rat & has LOTS of cool things!) so I will probably be doing a little shopping in her section... and Mom- if it doesn't sell at the first garage sale, that means you have to lower the price for this one :)

So all items will be colour coordinated per person- our money is going towards the scooter.  If I get $50 I am stoked!  I think it will just be fun to be a part of one versus always the shopper at one.  Wish us luck!

The Love Pad is done

The latest addition to our house is this lovely dresser.  It is not an ordinary dresser as it only cost $20 at D.I.!!!!! So what I did was take it home, sanded everything, re-built a snapped off corner and hammered in a couple extra nails before I painted it and purchased some lovely handles at Lowe's.  It looks lots better than my plastic cubby thing.  I like looking at it.  OH, and I finished the pictures on my wall and posted some bedside pictures of snaps I took.  Saved money that way.  I think it's a good first newlywed bedroom :)

April snowfalls, bring May flowers??

This was our backyard on April 16th. (I believe) It was crazy and beautiful! And the best part was that it was Canadian snow!  Heavy, wet, and stuck to everything!  I loved it-- I'm probably the only person though.

Sew...a needle pull and thread

I am not sure those are the lyrics, but I am sure I finished my sewing class with a high score!!  Well ok, I don't officially have my grade yet, but I know it's not lower than a B :) Here are two of my projects.  Let me note a few things:
skirt: lining, zipper, hand hem, 4 darts, waistband facing
shirt: 4 darts, ruffles, zipper, buttons, hand hem, interfacing sleeves, with a bound collar!

I have received many compliments on my shirt so far, but I have yet to wear my skirt in public yet as I can't find anything to wear it with... oh, but I will.

Just Practicing

Here is Nick practicing with baby Emma for things that he will one day have to do.  He's so sweet and careful with Emma.  It was fun to see, I had to take pictures.  (I know, cheesy post, but I just thought it was fun!)

EASTER

Easter was fun this year.  I wasn't feeling well (probably due to all the dirt cake I ate the night before) but we went over to my parents house for ham and an egg hunt.  I love when all the nieces and nephews are there!  It makes holidays more fun!

Happy 26th Birthday to Kim!

Nick was "really" excited about the movie as you as tell from this picture.  He surprised me with tickets to the Hannah Montana movie (which I wanted to see, AND it was pretty fun..that is if you view it with 14 year old eyes) Anywho...the whole movie Nick was like, "let me guess, Hannah finds herself here" or "oh, here comes the touching song."  But deep down I know he enjoyed it because he didn't fall asleep in it :)
Tradition. Dirt Cake. With gummy worms inside.  I think next year I just might branch out to something else....we'll just have to wait and see.

Shoga Sushi house.  It was delicious as usual!
For my birthday Nick had the windows on my car tinted.  I LOVE them!!

My birthday was a perfect day!  Nick and I met up with my parents for breakfast at Cracker Barrell.  Then I went to the Salon and had a little pampering.  After that I met up with Nick and we headed to an elderly home to play games with them, and chit chat. (service activity with BYU)  After we got ready and went out to dinner and the movie.  My day was perfect-
