Night with my lady friends

My sister Whitney was in town so Elise, Whitney and I decided to all hang out.  My sisters decided that we were going to have sushi, so we made sushi and tempura and it was delicious.  My brave niece Camille and Hailey even tried Ahi tuna rolls :) Then we roasted s'mores in the back yard and played big booty.  It was such a fun night!  I love my sisters SO much and being with them makes me really happy and I can relax when I am around them.  I never have to try hard with them because they love me for me.  They are the greatest sisters in the world!!  I can't wait for the next 40 years with them!  They are just going to get funnier the older they get.

Happy One Year Anniversary

Wednesday was our ONE year anniversary.  I can't believe it's been one year already!  Time flies by so fast; especially when you are having fun and experiencing many new things.

I am going to tell the story of how Nick proposed to me.  I know not everyone has heard it (not sure why?) but it was one of the most special moments in my life-

For Valentines 2008, Nick and I were both busy with school/work so we didn't get to go out.  He had pink tulips delivered to my work during the day, but we were planning on going out that weekend.  So Friday he had me get off work early.  I come home and he is there at my house.  He told me to pack my suitcase.  I asked why, but he didn't tell me.  Then we started driving.  I had no IDEA where we were off to.  About 4 hours into the drive he told me we were headed to San Francisco!!  I started screaming I was so excited!

The second evening he took me to eat at Tarantino's restaurant on the beach.  (I had salmon) We then had a horse and buggy ride up to Girahdelli Square.  I thought this was the best Valentines date EVER!  We ate dessert up there, then we walked back to the car.  He asked me if I wanted to see the Golden Gate bridge at night.  I said yeah.  So we drove over to the park that over looks the bridge.  It was beautiful and the bridge looked so cool!  He pulled his guitar out of the back of the car and we walked over to this little sitting spot.  He played me a song on the guitar (You Look Wonderful Tonight, Eric Clapton), then he pulled out a little black box, got on one knee and asked me if I would marry him.  I was shocked!  I was not expecting it; and I mean that with every part of me!  TOTAL SUPRISE.  I laughed, and kept laughing, and said, Are you serious? (ten-twenty times) then I said YES! and cried, and laughed some more.  I was so happy!  Nick started getting teary eyed too- :)

I know that everyone thinks there proposal was the greatest, and I'm glad they all do because that is how it should be; but I can't think of one thing to make mine better.  The best part about it looking back is knowing that Nick organized, planned, and expedited it all by himself.  He did everything out of his love for me.

I love my husband more than anything.  He is my greatest fan, he is my life trainer, my cheerleader, my support, and my best friend.  This year has been full of new territories that I have never ventured too.  I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the next 40 years of life with!  He is a perfect match for me!  I love you hubby-

Just some lyrics from one of my favourite songs...(Chris Martin)

Hold my hand inside your hands.  I need someone who understands.  I need someone, someone who hears. For you I've waited all these years.  For you I'll wait til Kingdom Come.  Until my day, my day is done.  And say you'll come and set me free.  Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.

I hear you laugh, I heard you sing.  I wouldn't change a single thing.  I don't know which way I'm going, I don't know which way I've come.  Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.

Memorial Day

Yeah, my first vacation this year!  We took a camping trip to Moab with our friends Allie and Brian, and Kierst and Brian.  It was SO much fun and we did so much.  Sorry for all the pictures- it was just a blast and I wanted to show you all! And the food was delicious, the company was great, and we didn't get caught in the rain :)

Grandma Lola and Gooding

Nick and I made a visit to Gooding, Idaho to visit my Grandma Lola.  (she is turning 90 this year!)  We went to the temple, Shoshone Falls, out to eat Chinese, and to a couple thrift stores.  It was fun trip-- and yes, I'm wearing a .50cent shirt my grandma found for me :)

UPDATE: garage sale!

We had a great garage sale! There were so many people that came and they were there even before we officially set all the stuff up.  I made $120 and in total we all made $600!!!  What a great and fun day! (and Elise finally made my blog!  lol :)  )
