Last week Colette and I flew out to Utah. The flight there was long, but she was a trooper and was the perfect flying baby! The first day my mom watched Colette while I went and cut my hair off (6"! and no, I didn't like it at first...but now it's starting to grow on me, slowly, so we shall see if I like it by the end of the month. I'll let you know) The next day we went to my sister's house to scrapbook, but mostly ended up setting up out scrapbook stuff and playing with babies. Leah came with cousin Kate, and Megan brought down new baby Hudson. He is such a tiny peanut!! But we had a nice time hanging out, talking, and giving my 17 year old niece un-needed advice (I say un-needed because she is a smart girl and can figure out for herself)
Then we went snowboarding the next day. Needless to say, I still got it after 2 years. No one had to wait up for me, but by lunch time, my un-used muscles were sore, and my knees were tender. But I made it. Sad to say I can't say the same for my advanced skiier mom, who skiied into a tree! Literally. Not funny at first, but once we saw she was okay it was kinda funny.
After that I went to church with my family, my oldest nieces came over for dinner and to try on my wedding dress. I wish I was around them more. They are growing into the most wonderful ladies.
The next day was Monday and my mom and I went shopping all day. Colette was perfect, as usual ;) and then we visited my 92 year old Grandma Lola in her re-hab room (she broke her back over Christmas falling down stairs!!) and my sister Elise came over to say good-bye.
It was a quick trip, but full of family and fun times. It's nice to see that not much has changed. Living out here in RI I feel like I am missing out on a lot, but turns out I'm not :) I guess I was the life of the party. hahaha
Oh and the flight home was terrible. Colette SCREAMED the whole time and I got a lot of nasty looks. Oh well people- I flew Southwest so you could CHOOSE not to sit by a little baby! Bad choice on your behalf
