This past weekend holiday we decided to take a little vacation to Portland, Maine. It is a beautiful town! When I pictured what Providence would be like, this is what I pictured. A port town, with some old time charm. We walked around the wharf's, did a little shopping, ate at some awesome places (even some TV shows were filmed at these places), and visited the Portland Head Lighthouse (which George Washington commission to be built over 200 years ago and is still functioning) then picked up some little lobster friends to come home with us. (which we ate with our friends Eric and Liddy last night. They were delicious!!) It is only 2.5 hours north of us, so it was totally worth the trip. We both had a great time, and like always, Colette did just great. I love living in New England so we can experience things like this!

I'm soooo jealous.
How fun for you guys to live so close to so much history! We'll have to use you guys as tour guides one day:)
A correctly timed "bathroom break" will allow you some additional New England appreciation in Kittery on the drive home. An LL. Bean discount Boat & Tote, Crate & Barrell scratch & Dent, or J. Crew end of season clearance items... all in a quick run through the outlet mall for said "break". I've stopped for this reason numerous times. Have never seen a bathroom there. Don't tell.
