I HAVE MY HUSBAND BACK!

I officially have my husband back! He finished and won Wii Zelda. phew! I wish I could explain just how proud I am of him and his Wii sword fighting skills. (sarcasim)
But my time with him may be short because he has to start training for his Outdoor Adventure Triathalon with Geoff. I guess that makes Leah and I standing at the finish line? I've never been to one, so I think it will be really fun! And maybe a better use of time :) still love you though Nick-

Our house...in the middle of the street

Our Apartment
Our blue cloud bedroom
Our desert tan bathroom
Our kitchen
The desk for school, bills, internet searching, etc...
Our family room
Our dining room. (I did the stripes myself)

I decided that maybe I should put up some pictures of Nick and my little basement apartment for those of you who haven't experienced grandeur :) Note: it is a little messy because it was a spur of the moment thought so I didn't tidy up for the blog.

B-Y-U days

So Nick and I officially started school again at BYU! This semester Nick is taking a large load of science classes (Microbiology, Chemistry, etc.), mingled with English. I was so proud of him last semester for getting such an awesome GPA and I know he will do great this year!
Also, I am taking a full load as well! I know, what a suprise. But I've come to a time in my life where I need a college degree to make me feel good :) So I have offically decided on a majour... drum roll please... Family and Home Living! I know, nothing super fancy and that people look at it as kind of lame, but that doesn't matter to me because I am loving EVERY class I have so far!! I have Aerobins, sewing, ASL, and SFL. I am very excited for this semester- and yes it will be hard work, but lots of fun and I will learn all sorts of new skills.
It's fun being on campus again and being able to see Nick during school. On Monday's and Wednesday's we drive together to and from school. I feel like a real college/married student! haha

Baby girl!

Thanks to all those who sent their love and support and baby spit up blankets ;)

Nikon D40: it's first trip out...

So my lovely husband came with me on my first camera excursion. He drove me up to Bridal Veil falls in the Provo canyon. We hiked in and I tried to play with my light speed and shutter speed. I don't fully have it yet, but I know I will.
Here are some of the beauties I took. Hopefully next time I will understand my camera more :)

Our first Christmas tree in our apartment. I made the ornaments so we could save some money. AND we wrapped presents in newspaper to save more. Tips for others :) lol
This was Nick and my first Christmas together as a married couple. Christmas Eve I worked until noon. Work gave me a HUGE box full of steaks! Such an awesome gift! And Nick spent the day snowboarding at Sundance. Then we met up and headed to Elise's house for the Christmas program. Nick preformed there. He sang O Holy Night and played guitar. He did such a great job. I was SO proud of him! We spent Christmas day at my parents house in Springville, UT. The whole family was there and it was a fun time! I love watching kids open gifts- they love everything they get and get so excited! Of course there were lots of games :)

Nick got a new ipod to store ALL his music together and Kim got a new Nikon camera so she can get more in photography. My sister in law showed me a lot about my new camera on Christmas and I watched the DVD's that came with them, so I am ready for step one of photography. Oh, and we got a wii (with Nick's Christmas bonus) and I can barely pull Nick away from Zelda to eat- he loves it so much.. hope it doesn't last too long. haha
On December 26 my niece was baptized so we drove up to Alpine to see that. It's always nice to attend a baptism so you can remember the covenants you made. I am happy for Hailey! Then I went shopping with my sisters, mom, and oldest niece Kayla. Nick and I are planning on going snowboarding this week as our first activity for the new year! Happy New Year everyone!

Washington D.C. trip

For work I get the luxury of traveling around to differnent cities all over the United States. Yes, it is getting old, but I like it when it's a city I haven't been to yet! Dec. 6-8 I was in D.C. What a beautiful place! The buildings, the history, etc... I HAVE to bring Nick back there sometime because it was so much fun. AND FREEZING COLD!!! Taking these pictures I could barely feel my fingers! But I got to see the building of the structures for Pres.Obama's inauguration and the White house Christmas tree. (these pictures were taken at 10:30 pm so that's why it's so dark)

Six Months

December 3, 2008 was Nick and my six month anniversary! Unfortunetly time flies- but we have been having a great time getting to know eachother, and I learned that Nick likes his toilet paper dispensed from the top over, verses under and out. ha. I made him dinner, and he took me to a Christmas Carol play in Orem. It was a really fun night! Happy six months my hunk of a husband

There is beauty all around....

These are just some scenic beauties from more recently. Utah, Washington, and Colorado. I love nature!

Thanksgiving in Vegas

For Thanksgiving this year, aka Nick and Kim's first Thanksgiving together as a married couple; we drove to Las Vegas and had Thanksgiving with Nick's family. Momma Edwards, Pappa Edwards, Chris and Kristin (&kids), Emily (&child), Megan and Bryan. Everyone was there except Lindsay..hopefully next time!
So we ate a delicious turkey prepared by Megan and I attempted my second batch of gravy ever..note to self, more seasoning next time and played games. Nick and I did some shopping after the holidays and Nick even slept out in front of Best Buy to get a good deal.
We had a family day at the park where a paper plane competition went on. During it, Nick's brave niece was stung by a bee!! We scraped out the stinger and let her keep it. Hmmm...sounds a little like something Pappa Wright would do :)
We finished off the trip playing Bingo with Chris at a Casino. I LOVE bingo!! No one one, but we have a plan for next time...go play for the 11:00pm game cause no one goes so your chances are better.
